Throughout time, people have marked the passing of a loved one through the spoken word, ritual actions, and music. This ceremony can be informal or formal and needn’t follow traditional rules. While some people find comfort and deep meaning in the familiar, others want to create or design something that is unique and fitting to the person who has died; at the same time providing something meaningful and authentic for the people who grieve.

By gathering together we fulfill what seems to be a universal need to honour the person who has died and mark their passage. We acknowledge this transition, connect with and support those who grieve, and affirm the bonds of love that underly living in community. In my work as a grief counsellor I support clients through this difficult terrain of loss. I began work as a Chaplain in 1997. I now call myself a Celebrant, which means that I create and lead the ceremony, with your direction. FEES: $500.00 |
