Susan

My role as a therapist is to provide an emotionally safe counselling environment for individuals  to explore where they have been and where they want to go, in order to help today. You may begin with a particular issue such as anxiety, relationship breakdown, overeating, or a vague sense that things could be better. The immediate problem will likely improve but other things may be uncovered along the way. When this happens you may decide that you want to understand yourself more fully and long term, in-depth therapy begins. This can be a long, fascinating, exciting and sometimes painful process.

If you would like to talk about what is happening in your life and explore how I can be of service, email me for an appointment. I have a flexible schedule and can often accommodate a time that will work for you.

Although influenced by depth psychology, I was trained in transpersonal psychology which is where spirituality and psychology meet. It focuses on cross cultural approaches to existential questions, such as the purpose of life, how we find meaning, and what we see as important. I have worked as a child care worker, social worker, and presently work as a counsellor at Victoria Hospice where I serve the dying and their families.
